IT’S OSCARS NIGHT. Which means we’re at the end of awards season so this is the perfect time to discuss or reflect on the best films of 2011, past award winners, your favourite award ceremonies or post your Oscar predictions! Don’t agree with the nominations this year? Why not share your top picks. And, hey, for easy bonus points: drunken, boozy Oscar live blogging is more than welcome! WEEKLY THEME #2 IS UP.
Livejournal is throwing a fit at me, but I can’t blame that entirely for the tardiness of our FIRST WEEKLY THEME, which is up! This week’s theme is The Classics. I’m talkin’ vintage Hollywood here, folks. Our first theme is for those classic film buffs and the classic-curious alike. If you’re like my parents and a dedicated TCM addict, this may be your chance to dig into the more obscure, rare finds and share your joy with others. Or, if you’re like me and the extent of your knowledge is that one weekend you were attracted to James Dean, it might be a good opportunity to get your education on.
Our second Monthly Theme is up! A taste of the challenges we set up this time around: The Black List, Prequels & Sequels, B Movie Madness, Scenery & Design, and Behind The Scenes.
